If you are looking for a trail with a good chance to see some Florida wildlife, then this is a great trail to try.

A new addition was just added so now the trail goes to Donald Smith Blvd. You can turn right and bike to Highbanks Road using the road or sidewalk, until the next leg of the trail is completed.

The Beresford trail is hilly (for Florida) and you will always see some form of wildlife. I have seen a bear, bobcat, deer, rattlesnake and various other less dangerous snakes, armadillos, baby pigs, rabbits and too many squirrels to count. It is a good workout and clocks in around 15.5, if you go all the way to Highbanks.

The newest extension does make you feel like you are escaping from prison, with the metal fencing and barbed wire top, but the rest of the trail more than makes up for it.
